The PAF Office received a few renewals today bringing our overall total to $75,000. I had a couple Fund Drive Workers call to tell me they will be meeting with prospects this week to discuss a membership at the $750 or $1,500 level! Tomorrow we will release the first set of PAF Fund Drive standings! The standing will be posted on JoinPAF.org as well as on my blog.

In other news, the launch of JoinPAF.org was recognized nationally on the National Association of Athletic Development Directors website as one of the top three news stories from across the country for the month of April! Here is a link to the recognition:

1) Tell us about yourself
I grew up in the bay area and came to Stockton to go to University of the Pacific in 1999. I met my husband while in college and have lived here in Stockton ever since. We have an amazing 2 year old son named Grant. I am the co-owner of Port City Marketing Solutions, Inc. on the Miracle Mile. On the weekend you can find my family boating on the delta, spending time in Lake Tahoe, or just relaxing with friends.

2) How did you become interested in Pacific Athletics?
I was an athlete at Pacific! I played field hockey so I’ve always had the drive to give back.

3) Why did you decide to Volunteer for the Fund Drive this year?

This is my fourth year volunteering for the fund drive and my goal is to not only help raise funds for Pacific Athletics but also to build awareness in the community about the great sporting events at Pacific. We have such great athletes and coaches I’d really like to see more support from the community. So as I go around talking to people about the PAF, if someone is unable to contribute financially I continue to chat with them about coming to the games and supporting the athletes in other ways.

4) Why should someone join the PAF?
So many reasons! From a business perspective it is a great way to get your business exposure & support these great athletes. The PAF staff works extremely hard to give it’s business sponsors as much exposure as possible. I know personally I really enjoyed the Men’s Basketball Hospitality Suite before the games last year. It was a great casual atmosphere to meet other businesses and build relationships. I look forward to going to more of them next year.
