As Assistant Athletic Director, I am really excited to be doing this daily blog again this to keep everyone informed with PAF Fund Drive Updates on dollars raised, renewals, point standings, etc.

The PAF Fund Drive is officially underway! We had approximately 65 Fund Drive Workers, Coaches, and Athletics Staff in attendance today at the Vereshchagin Alumni House. We have 62total Fund Drive Workers and most have received their materials to sell PAF Memberships.

We are very excited to be dedicating this Fund Drive to long-time Fund Drive Worker, Board Member, and Support – Max Paulsen. Max has been a key part of the Fund Drive over the years:

• Helped found the PAF in 1970 and was the first Board President. He has remained on the Board ever since
• Max and his son Rick have raised well over $2 million for the PAF since 1970
• Inducted into the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1989-90
• 15 years ago, during a time when the PAF needed assistance, Max stepped in and volunteered as PAF Executive Director for a year and half

The Luncheon started with a presentation of a plaque from Ted Leland, Director of Athletics to Max’s wife, Marion. Followed by guest speakers Ron Verlin – Men’s Basketball Head Coach, James Graham – Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Head Coach and Andy Smith – Field Hockey Head Coach. Thank you to everyone for attending!

We also had a chance to announce our new PAF Campaign #AboveandBeyond. Below is the video we showed at the Luncheon explaining the meaning of the slogan. We will be doing social media ads throughout the Fund Drive with the #AboveandBeyond hastag. Feel free to share the video with anyone and you can also view it on JoinPAF.org.
