Featured Coaches:

Brian Kolze – Softball

Brian Kolze, the winningest coach in Pacific softball program history, is in his 24th season at the helm of the program and the third for the Tigers as a member of the West Coast Conference. Kolze’s Pacific squad finished with a 19-36 record in 2014 including a 7-8 finish in the inaugural season of West Coast Conference play, good for a third place tie in the conference. In 2015, Kolze’s squad saw seven student-athletes named to All-Conference honors. The 2016 season began with a road trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where the Tigers went 3-2, including a key win over #3 LSU. Their home opener is set for Friday, February 26th against Purdue as the Tigers host the Libby Matson Tournament.

Greg Gibbons – Sand Volleyball

Greg Gibbons enters his fourth season at the helm of the Pacific beach volleyball program after completing his sixth leading the indoor program.

In 2014, Gibbons was named Co-WCC Coach of the Year and became the first Tiger skipper to earn the top honor since legendary head coach John Dunning was named Big West Coach of the Year after the 2000 season. Gibbons led his team to its best record since the 2001 season as Pacific posted its second 20+ win season under the fifth-year head coach. Picked to finish seventh in the WCC, the Tigers went on a tear through the conference, losing just five matches to take home a second place finish just behind BYU who captured the title. The Tigers will begin their 2016 season on March 5th vs San Francisco at the Stanford Tournament.

Ryan Jorden – Men’s Soccer

Ryan Jorden concluded his second season as Head Coach of the Pacific Men’s Soccer program in 2015. In 2014 he became the first coach in the program’s history as Pacific competed as a West Coast Conference member at the full Division I level.

Prior to taking over the reigns at Pacific, Jorden had been the head coach at California Baptist University for five years, finishing as the most successful coach in program history. He led the Lancers to five straight postseason, including their first-ever NAIA national tournament appearance in 2010. He has also led the Lancers to a PacWest title and two straight NCCAA National Championships. He led the Lancers to a 60-30-10 record and a .650 winning percentage that is the best in program history.

Josh Jones – Cross Country

Jones is in his 6th season as head coach and led the Tigers to their best performance in program history at the WCC Championships in 2015, finishing in eighth place in the marquee event of the West Coast Conference season. Lindsay Wourms finished in 21:25.2, the best individual performance in program history. Becky Grabow also eclipsed the program’s previous record. The total team time of 111:39 was more than 13 minutes faster than the overall team performance in 2013, the Tigers’ first year in the West Coast Conference.
