(Stockton, CA, September 5, 2017) – The Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF) recently hosted its 18th annual Orange & Black Ball on August 26th at the Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium. The longstanding annual fundraising event serves as a kickoff celebration to the new school year and provides the PAF an opportunity to gather with many of its strongest supporters in the community to acknowledge its recent accomplishments, while raising funds for the PAF in support of Pacific Athletics.
This year’s event, presented by Pacific Construction, was another huge success selling out one month prior to the event with 700 guests in attendance and was able to gross a total of over $252,000 while netting a record amount of $123,735 for Pacific student-athletes. This is a $23,000 increase from the 2016 Orange & Black Ball. The money raised from the event will support the PAF Impact Fund, sport-specific operations, and the new nutrition station available for all student-athletes.
The night’s festivities began with the unveiling of the beautiful, newly constructed $1.5 million Janssen-Lagorio Performance Center. The center, constructed by Pacific Construction, is the latest upgrade to Pacific Athletics facilities and will provide exercise/weight equipment for weight and conditioning training along with a fuel station providing nutritious snacks for student-athletes.
Upon arrival to this premier event, guests are greeted by student-athletes and welcomed to mingle with coaches and staff while enjoying multiple wine tasting stations, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, raffle drawing, and live entertainment.
