Coronavirus Update

PACIFIC ATHLETICS STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS

STOCKTON, Calif. – In conjunction with announcements made today by the West Coast Conference and the NCAA, Pacific Athletics has canceled competition as well as formal and organized practice sessions in all sports for the remainder of the spring season.  This decision is in the best interest of our student-athletes, fans and staff due to the evolving nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This decision comes shortly after the NCAA decided to cancel all spring championships, including the Women’s Water Polo Championships, which were slated to take place at Chris Kjeldsen Pool at the Pacific Aquatics Center.

At this time, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases within the University of Pacific.  However, in an effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, these preventive measures are being taken to prioritize the health and well-being of the campus and our community.   Pacific Athletics will continue to monitor the situation in concert with the University as well as the NCAA and local health officials to ensure that best practices are being followed.

As updated information becomes available, it will be posted on www.PacificTigers.com.  Official messages and status updates from the University are available at www.pacific.edu/coronavirus.
