PACIFIC VOLLEYBALL RAISES $18,000 IN 48 HOURS

The Pacific Volleyball program successfully raised $18,000 from 45 donors during their 48-hour giving campaign from August 20-22. The program would like to thank everyone who participated in the campaign and hopes to see you out at a match this season!

Funds raised for Pacific Volleyball will go towards the following items identified by the coaching staff as key elements that will help the programs compete at the highest level.

  • Nutrition: Athletic performance and recovery for college athletes is enhanced by attention to nutrient intake. Developing an ideal nutrition plan for health and performance includes identifying the right quantity, quality, and proper timing of food and fluids needed to support regular training and peak performance. As training demands shift during the year, Pacific Volleyball is committed to ensuring their student-athletes are getting the necessary nutrients while maintaining a properly balanced diet that supports their academic, training and competition needs.
  • Enhanced Travel & Scheduling Opportunities: A portion of the funds raised will go towards enhanced travel opportunities as the coaching staff has worked to increase their strength of schedule by traveling to face top-tier opponents.
  • Technology: Volleymetrics, the gold standard in volleyball analytics, has cutting-edge technology and third-party compatibility that gives the most advanced, reliable, and consistent data possible. Pacific Volleyball has been using this technology for the past few years and has seen incredible results in all areas of the game.

The Pacific Volleyball team kicks off the 2022 regular season with three matches at the Northwestern Tournament in Evanston, Illinois on Friday. The Tigers will take on both Northwestern and Northeastern on the first day of competition, followed by UTEP on Saturday. The Tigers finished fourth in the West Coast Conference last season and return 10 members, including Jadyn Tubbs (Libero of the Year, First-Team), Alexa Edwards ( First-Team), Jenna Heller (All-Freshman Team), Ramonni Cook (Honorable Mention), and Darina Kumanova (Honorable Mention)
