The Pacific Athletic Foundation Fund Drive will kick-off today with a luncheon at the Alex and Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House. The six-week PAF Fund Drive concludes on June 5 and is the primary fundraising campaign of the year for the PAF Scholarship/Impact Fund. During the Fund Drive, volunteers go out into the community asking for cash donations to help support Pacific student-athletes. Top volunteers are rewarded with a variety of prizes including an away game trip with the Men’s Basketball team.
Last year, Fund Drive Workers secured $270,000 in cash donations which included $55,000 in new cash lead by Fund Drive All-Stars Rick Paulsen and Ron Addington. This year the PAF has already secured more volunteers than last year (62). “The Fund Drive is very important to our mission. We raise the majority of our dollars during this six-week span and volunteers are integral to our success”, said Chris Lynn, Executive Director of the Pacific Athletic Foundation.
The PAF’s goal is to raise $50,000 new cash during the Fund Drive and $400,000 for the year.
