PAF Fund Drive Blog- Day 1

The Fund Drive is officially underway for 2017!  For the next 6 weeks, I will be sharing a blog of our Fund Drive campaign to keep each of our Fund Drive Workers, donors, and community members up-to-date on the latest Fund Drive news.

The Fund Drive campaign for 2017 officially kicked off this week at our Fund Drive Training Luncheon where we were able to meet with all of our Fund Drive Volunteers and share information on the Fund Drive. The PAF was able to provide training manuals, PAF brochures, gift envelopes, donor contacts, and information on how to become successful in supporting Pacific Athletics this year. Our goal is to raise $50,000 new cash during this year’s Fund Drive as part of our overall organizational goal of $500,000 and to continue build upon our past successes during this important time period in support of Pacific Athletics.  The Fund Drive teams will be shared with each Fund Drive Volunteer this week along with any updates on points received for each volunteer’s efforts this past weekend.

In addition, we had a great event and turnout at our Fund Drive Kick-Off event hosted at KIinker Brick Winery on April 22nd.  With over 150 people in attendance at this year’s event, guests were treated to wine tasting provided by Klinker Brick Winery and catering provided by Waterloo Restaurant, Midtown Creperie, and Town and Country.  Attendees were also provided with live entertainment from DeBorba Events and a Q&A session with two of our most successful coaches this past year, Andy Smith (Women’s Field Hockey) and Ryan Jorden (Men’s Soccer) highlighting the success of each of their seasons.  Pacific Women’s Field Hockey captured their second straight division title and played in the America East Championship Game while Pacific Men’s Soccer advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  The night concluded with the Director of Athletics, Dr. Ted Leland, providing an overview of the impact that the Fund Drive has on Pacific Athletics and how the funds raised goes towards supporting a wide array of projects that impact the lives of our student-athletes.

This year’s Fund Drive slogan is to #EARNYOURSTRIPES.  There are several opportunities to #EARNYOURSTRIPES and support Pacific Athletics this year; whether as a Fund Drive Volunteer, past donor, or as a new donor.  Each individual contribution at any level is an opportunity to #EARNYOURSTRIPES with Pacific Athletics and represents your support in providing a lifetime experience for our student-athletes.  Through the efforts of our volunteers and support within the community, we can display our stripes together and successfully achieve our campaign goal this year!

Attached you will find photos (Thank You Christine Hankins) from the Fund Drive Kick-Off Celebration at Klinker Brick Winery and our daily blog posting that will be shared on our website.
