Pavillard and Colak Named ACWPC All-Americans

Luke Pavillard and Engin Ege Colak were selected to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American team, the ACWPC announced Monday morning. Pavillard earned All-First Team honors while Colak was named to the All-Third Team.

The junior standouts earn their two accolades following a stellar 2018-19 season resulting in back-to-back Golden Coast Conference regular season titles and two consecutive GCC Championship appearances for the Orange and Black.

Pavillard and Colak’s awards add to a long list of All-American achievements for the men’s water polo program. This makes it nine straight seasons with at least two or more players being named to the ACWPC team. The most Tigers selected in one year came during the 2015-16 season when a program-best six Tigers were named to the All-American squad.

“These are two well-deserved awards for two well-rounded players,” Head Coach James Graham stated. “Luke and Ege have played a tremendous role for our program for the last three years. It’s exciting to see their growth and we’re extremely fortunate to have them back to lead our team next year.”
